About the Summit

Iran is a key player in the future of the world’s energy supply. As a founding member of OPEC (Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries), and being in possession of one of the world’s largest natural gas reserves, Iran is a very interesting nation with a strategic geographical location that gives it a powerful role to play in international affairs in the Middle East, Asia and Europe.

The increasing domestic demand in energy combined with the on-going interest to attract more foreign investment despite restrictions, have encouraged the country to start modifying its energy policy. Current discussions on the terms of buy-back contracts and Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) along with the constant new oil field developments from the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) are signs of the urgency to start preparing for future operations in the country.

Fields with big potential like South Pars, Kish, Ferdowsi gas fields and Yadavaran or Azadegan oil fields amongst many others, wait to be further developed and explored in an efficient and profitable way.

The Iran Summit will shed light on the new opportunities arising for local and international companies to benefit from its world elite hydrocarbon reserves and the thousands of business routes offered for exploration with more than 20 International speakers including renowned IOCs, as well as local oil and gas companies, experts, and senior officials.
